Ideas Front – The Conscience of the People
We propose a discussion of development issues with specialists from different fields, in the absence of a tradition of development journalism in Sinhala, Tamil or English in Sri Lanka.

Drawing on our experience of conducting 570+ podcasts over the last eighteen months, in this next phase of our programme we aim to mainstream issues of economics, politics, retirement justice, minority rights, health justice, education justice, religious rights, and gender and sexuality rights in terms of development through this website.

Our goal is to ensure that Sri Lanka’s development related issues become an essential component of political discourse in the future. We are dedicated to creating a politically sensitive, civic minded, and ethical political class that is not easily swayed by the propaganda circulating on social media and other platforms.

Ideas Front discussions will draw on experts from the fields of politics, law, economics, history, sociology and anthropology. The breadth of knowledge brought to the table by the social sciences and humanities will form the foundation of our policy making and governance related discussions.
